There are many things to consider when managing food allergy as a youth or young adult: from navigating a new job, to moving out and sharing a space with roommates, to living and managing food allergy and life’s activities on your own for the first time.

Meet Agnes, a 24-year-old graduate student and health policy researcher living with peanut allergy. In this video, she provides tips for managing food allergies in the workplace as well as educating coworkers. Made in collaboration with EpiPen.

Living with food allergy and roommates? Learn more from Bryan, a 23-year-old graduate student as he provides tips for educating roommates about his food allergies as well as additional ideas on how to be allergy-safe. Made in collaboration with EpiPen.

Real allergic reaction stories from youth

Knowing how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction is important, so that you can give life-saving treatment (epinephrine) early. In this video, you’ll learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, the importance of using your epinephrine auto-injector, and hear empowering reaction stories from Harrison, Giulia, Ella and Emily Rose and their lessons learned.
