The Allergy-Friendly Food Drive Challenge Kicks off in Toronto July 14

June 24, 2016

alex carCanadian race car driver Alex Tagliani is promoting food allergy awareness and safety this racing season with the Summer of TAG 2016. Through this joint initiative, undertaken by Alex and Food Allergy Canada, with the support of Pfizer Canada (Canadian distributor of EpiPen® Epinephrine Auto-Injector), Alex is visiting local communities encouraging people to get involved with the Allergy-Friendly Food Drive Challenge!

Join Alex in Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square, on July 14th from 11am -2pm as he helps to collect allergy-friendly food items to support the Daily Bread Food Bank. Having food allergies himself, Alex knows the challenges faced by those at risk, especially when it comes to selecting safe food options. Knowing how to read a food label and understanding how to identify allergens and ingredients is key to making informed choices.

Alex will be on site with his No.18 Team EpiPen® race car! The first 18 people to arrive with an allergy-friendly food donation, will be eligible to receive giveaways such as a ticket to the Honda Indy Toronto (valid in Toronto on July 16, 2016), or an autographed t-shirt.

Come check it out and bring non-perishable, fully-labelled food items to help support the food drive! We look forward to seeing you there!
